A North American T-6 Texan advanced trainer banks overhead during a flyby demonstration at the Lloyd Air Museum air show in Tennessee, June 2014. Developed in the late 1930s, the T-6 (known as the SNJ in U.S. Navy service) trained thousands of Allied pilots during World War II and remained in service as a primary advanced trainer into the 1950s and 60s.
