Three restored P-47 Thunderbolt fighters, painted with the black-and-white invasion stripes adopted by Allied aircraft in 1944, fly in formation during a commemorative air show. The Thunderbolt was one of the primary fighter-bombers of the U.S. Army Air Forces in the European Theater of World War II. Project: 219309
