Three Veterans Posed Before Douglas A-1 Skyraider Nose, Tennessee Museum of Aviation, June 2014

Veterans gather beneath the nose of a preserved Douglas A-1 Skyraider at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, June 2014. The Skyraider, a rugged single-engine attack aircraft powered by a Wright R-3350 radial engine, served extensively during the Vietnam War in close air support, rescue escort, and interdiction roles. Photographs like this one document the ongoing bond between former airmen and the aircraft that defined their service. Project: 219309
