Restored T-28 Trojan/Nomad-Type Trainer, Nose '129', Static Display at Tennessee Air Museum Air Show, June 7, 2014

A privately restored T-28 Trojan/Nomad-type trainer, painted in the dark gray livery associated with Vietnam-era counter-insurgency training units, on static display at a Tennessee air museum fly-in. Aircraft of this type served with the U.S. Air Force's Air Commandos and allied air forces in Southeast Asia, providing both flight instruction and light attack capability. This example, marked '129' and identified with owner-pilot Neal Melton, represents the ongoing preservation of Vietnam-era warbirds by private collectors and museums. Project: 219306
