Douglas A-1 Skyraider — Forward Fuselage and Propeller Detail, Museum Static Display

The rugged nose and propeller assembly of a Douglas A-1 Skyraider, the propeller-driven attack aircraft flown by U.S. Air Force "Sandy" pilots to escort search-and-rescue helicopters and provide close air support during the Vietnam War. This example is preserved on static outdoor display, its weathered camouflage finish and polished cowl ring bearing witness to decades of service and preservation. Project: 219291
