Ground crew prepare the Douglas A-1 Skyraider "Lieutenant America" (TC-665) with its wing folded, a routine sight at airfields throughout the aircraft's long service life. The Skyraider was the rugged, propeller-driven attack aircraft flown by U.S. Air Force "Sandy" pilots in Vietnam to escort search-and-rescue helicopters and cover downed airmen and special operations teams.
