A larger gathering of A-1 Skyraider squadron veterans assembles beneath the nose of the restored attack aircraft "AMERICA" during a reunion event. The Skyraider's massive four-blade propeller and radial engine, visible above the group, powered the rugged single-seat attack plane that flew close air support and combat search-and-rescue escort missions during the Vietnam War. Reunions such as this allow former airmen to reconnect and share memories of the aircraft that carried them through combat. Project: 219279
