This restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed 'Lieutenant America,' represents the rugged single-seat attack aircraft flown by U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots during the Vietnam War. Loaded with underwing ordnance racks and capable of absorbing heavy battle damage, the Skyraider excelled at close air support and search-and-rescue escort missions, and today survives as a popular warbird at air shows and veterans reunions.
