Two restored Douglas A-1 Skyraiders, one in Air Force camouflage marked 'TC 665 — Lieutenant America' and the other in Navy gray-and-white markings, sit on the ramp at a 2019 warbird gathering. The rugged, propeller-driven Skyraider served both the U.S. Navy and Air Force in Vietnam, flying close air support and escorting search-and-rescue helicopters, including missions supporting classified MACV-SOG reconnaissance teams like those of Operation Tailwind.
