A-1 Skyraider "Lieutenant America" Nose Detail, Static Display
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed "Spad" by its crews, served as the U.S. Air Force and Navy's primary propeller-driven attack aircraft during the Vietnam War, flying close air support and rescue escort ("Sandy") missions. This restored example, marked "Lieutenant America," preserves the rugged, hard-hitting legacy of the type. Project: 219252
