Two A-1 Skyraiders with Folded Wings Outside Museum of Aviation Hangar, Warner Robins, Georgia
Two A-1 Skyraiders rest wingtip-folded on the ramp at the Museum of Aviation. Though the Air Force never operated from carriers, the Skyraider's naval origins gave it folding wings -- a feature that made ground storage more compact at forward Vietnam airbases and museum hangars alike.
