Two Douglas A-1 Skyraiders sit wing-folded on the museum ramp during a commemorative event on 3-4 May 2019. The folding outer wing panels are a legacy of the type's original carrier design; the Air Force inherited the Skyraider from the Navy and sent it to Southeast Asia, where it flew as Spad and Sandy for the special operations squadrons. The near aircraft is coded TC 665, the far one ET 606 - the latter consistent with the airworthy A-1H N39606. Restored and flown by private owners and museums, these are among the few Skyraiders still in flying condition. Project: 219252
