Douglas A-1 Skyraider "Wiley Coyote" Engine and Cowling Detail, Air Show

This restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed "Wiley Coyote," represents the rugged attack aircraft flown by U.S. forces throughout the Vietnam War. Skyraiders were valued for their heavy weapons load and ability to loiter over the battlefield, providing close air support and escort for search-and-rescue missions. Today, dedicated volunteers keep aircraft like this one flying at air shows across the country. Project: 219252
