Restored A-1 Skyraider 'Wiley E. Coyote' Engine Start with Ground Crew Marshaler, Airshow Event, 3-4 May 2019

A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed 'Wiley E. Coyote,' fires up its radial engine on the ramp during a warbird airshow, guided by a Tennessee Museum of Aviation ground crew volunteer. The A-1 Skyraider, affectionately known as the 'Spad' or 'Sandy,' served as a rugged single-seat attack and rescue-escort aircraft during the Vietnam War, prized for its heavy ordnance load and long loiter time in support of downed airmen and ground troops.
