A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed 'Lieutenant America,' is towed across the ramp with wings folded during a 2017 warbird gathering. The Skyraider's rugged airframe and heavy ordnance capacity made it the mainstay attack aircraft of Air Commando and Special Operations units flying close air support and rescue-escort missions over Vietnam and Laos.
