Cockpit Detail, Douglas A-1 Skyraider – Windscreen, Gunsight, and Instrument Panel
The cockpit of a Douglas A-1 Skyraider, the rugged single-seat attack aircraft flown by U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots during the Vietnam War. Prized for its heavy ordnance load and long loiter time, the Skyraider was a mainstay of close air support and search-and-rescue escort missions. This preserved example shows the cramped, instrument-dense cockpit typical of the era, including a rear-view mirror and reflector gunsight mounted above the panel. Project: 219105
