USAF A-1 Skyraider 'TC-258' Banking with Full Ordnance Load, Vietnam War Era
A USAF A-1 Skyraider, tail code TC-258, banks steeply while carrying a full load of bombs and an air-to-ground missile. Nicknamed the 'Spad' for its propeller-driven, WWII-era design, the Skyraider remained in frontline combat throughout the Vietnam War thanks to its long loiter time, rugged airframe, and ability to carry more ordnance than many contemporary jets.
