Four servicemen in a squadron operations office built of plywood and salvaged shelving, its walls hung with a status board and a printed chart of United States decorations. The bare-chested figure at left and the worn flying coverall at right register the heat and informality of a forward operating base, where crews moved between the flight line and the office in whatever they were wearing. The image comes from the collection of Jax Roberts, prepared for the 2017 A-1 Skyraider Association reunion and preserved within the archive of fellow Skyraider pilot Donald L. Engebretsen.
