USAF aircrew walk away from an HH-3E 'Jolly Green Giant' rescue helicopter at Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base in April 1971. These helicopters and their crews of the Air Rescue and Recovery Service flew hazardous combat search-and-rescue missions to recover downed airmen over Laos and North Vietnam, often under heavy enemy fire.
