In-Flight Refueling of USAF Camouflaged Fighter via KC-135 Boom, Vietnam War Era
Captured from a KC-135 Stratotanker's boom operator station, this image shows a camouflaged U.S. Air Force fighter taking on fuel mid-flight during the Vietnam War. Aerial refueling extended the range and loiter time of strike aircraft, allowing them to reach distant targets and remain on station longer over Southeast Asia. Project: 219012
