Two F-105 Thunderchiefs in Formation Above Cloud Cover, Southeast Asia (Watermarked Final)
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief, nicknamed the 'Thud,' served as the U.S. Air Force's primary strike aircraft over North Vietnam during Operation Rolling Thunder. This finished print shows two F-105s of the 'JE' tail-coded unit in formation above the clouds, both carrying external fuel tanks for the long missions flown from bases in Thailand into heavily defended North Vietnamese airspace.
