1Lt. Jim Seith of the 1st Special Operations Squadron taxis his shark-mouthed A-1J Skyraider, serial 142053, past F-4 Phantom pilots at Da Nang Air Base. Wearing a vintage leather helmet, goggles, and scarf, Seith gave his Skyraider a touch of old-school warbird flair, a playful nod to the aircraft's WWII lineage in the jet age of Vietnam.
