Two Douglas A-1 Skyraiders, tail numbers 655 and 862, taxi out for flight. Rugged and heavily armed, the Skyraider was a workhorse of the Vietnam War, flying close air support and covert missions in support of MACV-SOG ground teams; many examples like these have been lovingly preserved and returned to the air by private owners and warbird associations.
