PACAF Form 20b, "General Purpose Worksheet," used as a personal sortie log, 3-27 December 1969. Pacific Air Forces issued this all-purpose ruled sheet for any local record-keeping need; here a pilot adapted it into a running flight diary, entering each mission's type code, date, number, call sign, and duration, and carrying a cumulative hours total forward from page to page. Seventeen of the nineteen entries are marked "OC" - out-country - the shorthand for missions flown beyond South Vietnam's borders, chiefly over Laos. The line for 26 December carries no mission number at all, only "SAR": a search-and-rescue launch, flown the day after Christmas. By the last entry the tally stood at 438 hours and 40 minutes.
