A four-bladed A-1 Skyraider propeller, salvaged and mounted as a unit display, hangs beneath the eave of a squadron building alongside hand-lettered 'SPAD' signage. Displays like this one, common at Air Commando and Special Operations Squadron facilities, preserved a tangible link to the Skyraider's combat legacy for the airmen who served in units that flew and maintained the aircraft.
