Newspaper Clipping: "3 GIs Plucked From Under Enemy Noses," Kham Duc Rescue
A 1968 newspaper account describes the daring rescue of the last three American soldiers stranded near the evacuated Special Forces camp at Kham Duc. A-1H Skyraiders from the 6th Air Commando Squadron suppressed intense enemy anti-aircraft fire while HH-3E Jolly Green Giant helicopters completed the pickup under fire. Project: 218882
