U.S. Air Force A-1 Skyraider pilots, known as 'Spads,' gather on the flight line at a Southeast Asia airbase during the Vietnam War. These aviators flew close air support and rescue escort missions for MACV-SOG reconnaissance teams operating deep behind enemy lines, and this photograph was preserved for a memorial website honoring their service.
