An A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed 'Spad,' banks through the evening sky with a full combat load of bombs and rockets beneath its wings. Marked with its signature shark-mouth nose art, the Skyraider provided crucial close air support for covert MACV-SOG reconnaissance teams operating deep in enemy-controlled territory during the Vietnam War.
