This slideshow shows a pair of A-1 Skyraiders, or "Spads," escorting an HH-53 "Jolly Green Giant" rescue helicopter above the clouds over Vietnam. It illustrates the close partnership between Sandy and Jolly Green crews that formed the core of Air Force combat search-and-rescue missions.
