The Don Englebreston Collection
Gallery: A_1HCockpit
A close study of the Douglas A-1H Skyraider cockpit, showing the left-side console with its throttle quadrant, fuel selector, canopy jettison mechanism, and oxygen system placard. Little changed from its late-1940s design, this dense array of mechanical controls served pilots flying close air support and rescue escort missions throughout the Vietnam War.
