Fourteen officers of 'Express 23' pose before their twin-engine Counter Invader aircraft at Hurlburt Field. Two of their number, Capt John L. 'Jack' O'Brien and Maj Hubert C. Nichols Jr., were later lost during the Vietnam War, killed and missing in action respectively in 1966. This photograph serves as both a unit record and a memorial to their service. Project: 218839
