As part of the U.S. Air Force's Vietnamization training programs, South Vietnamese Air Force (VNAF) pilots trained alongside American instructors at bases such as Hurlburt Field, Florida, learning to fly the A-1 Skyraider before returning to fly combat missions in South Vietnam.
