Painted as VA-176 aircraft 205 from USS Saratoga, complete with the squadron's bumblebee emblem, this airworthy Skyraider is shown on approach with gear down and clear damage to the upper surface of its starboard wing. The type served the Navy from 1946, flew close air support in Korea, and became the USAF's A-1 Spad and Sandy in Southeast Asia, where its endurance and load-carrying made it the backbone of combat search and rescue.
