This photograph documents two generations of U.S. Army anti-aircraft artillery on static display: the 40mm Automatic Gun M1, a license-built Bofors design that served as the backbone of light anti-aircraft defense throughout World War II, and the much larger 120mm Gun M1, a heavy fixed anti-aircraft weapon developed to counter high-altitude bombers.
