Hudson River Steamboat 'C.W. Morse,' People's Line, Underway
This photograph depicts the steamboat C.W. Morse, a side-wheel passenger steamer operated by the New York People's Line on the Hudson River between New York City and Albany in the early 20th century. Though filed within an album otherwise associated with the WWII-era cruiser USS Columbia, this particular image documents a much earlier civilian vessel, reflecting the golden age of Hudson River overnight steamship travel before the World Wars.
