Aerial View of Philippine Rail Town with Station Building, Pacific Theater
This aerial reconnaissance photograph shows a small Philippine rail town, its wooden houses and a station building clustered along the tracks amid coconut groves. Images such as this were captured by 312th Bombardment Group aircrews to document Japanese use of local rail infrastructure during the Philippines campaign of 1944-1945, informing both intelligence assessments and future strike planning.
