Ryukyu Islands Surrender Document, Headquarters Tenth Army, 7 September 1945
This reproduction preserves the formal surrender document by which Japanese commanders relinquished control of the Ryukyu Islands to the United States Tenth Army on September 7, 1945, five days after the general Japanese surrender at Yokohama. Signed by Japanese military and naval commanders and accepted by General Joseph W.
