Two U.S. Army officers depart through the imposing entrance of a Nuremberg courthouse, most likely the Palace of Justice, site of the International Military Tribunal war crimes trials held in the aftermath of World War II. American personnel of many roles, from judges and attorneys to guards and support staff, passed through these doors during the historic 1945-1946 proceedings that brought senior Nazi leadership to justice.
