The Grumman XF5F-1 Skyrocket, an experimental twin-engine carrier fighter developed for the U.S. Navy in the early 1940s. Though it did not enter production, the Skyrocket's twin-boom, twin-engine layout influenced later Grumman fighter designs, including the F7F Tigercat. Project: 218522
