U.S. Army Air Corps Twin-Engine Light Transport Aircraft on Airfield Ramp, November 1939
A twin-engine, twin-tailed U.S. Army Air Corps light transport aircraft, photographed on an airfield ramp on November 24, 1939. Aircraft of this type, closely related to the civilian Lockheed 12A Electra Junior and Beechcraft Model 18, were commonly used by the prewar Army for staff transport, liaison, and crew training roles in the years just before America's entry into World War II.
