Boeing B-47 Stratojet '32104' on Airfield Ramp, U.S. Air Force
The Boeing B-47 Stratojet, seen here parked on an airfield ramp, was the U.S. Air Force's first swept-wing jet bomber and the mainstay of Strategic Air Command's nuclear deterrent force through much of the 1950s. Its six podded jet engines and bicycle landing gear were radical innovations that influenced bomber and airliner design for decades to come. Project: 218463
