The Vought AU-1 Corsair, seen here banking in flight, was the final production version of the legendary F4U Corsair line. Purpose-built for the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 1950s, the AU-1 traded high-altitude performance for extra armor and additional underwing hardpoints, making it a rugged, low-flying close air support aircraft during the Korean War.
