An Allied aerial reconnaissance photograph of a large German ocean liner moored at Bremerhaven, its twin funnels and camouflage-patched hull visible from above. Several of Germany's great prewar transatlantic liners were discovered laid up or captured at Bremerhaven in 1945, and photographs like this helped Allied forces assess the condition of enemy shipping at war's end.
