Reverse of Aerial Reconnaissance Photograph No. 35061, Bremen Übersee-Hafen, 2 May 1945
The reverse of an Allied aerial reconnaissance photograph taken over Bremen's Übersee-Hafen (Overseas Harbor) on 2 May 1945, just days before Germany's surrender. The stamped caption identifies sunken vessels beside the bomb-destroyed Warehouse S13A, with Warehouse S14 visible in the foreground — evidence of the intensive Allied air campaign against German port infrastructure in the war's final weeks. Later handwritten German annotations show the print was subsequently catalogued in an archival collection. Project: 218448
