Aerial View of Hong Kong Harbor with Naval Vessels — Vietnam-Era Ticonderoga Collection
A sailor's view of Hong Kong Harbor, photographed from an elevated vantage point overlooking the city and its busy anchorage. Naval vessels of the U.S. Seventh Fleet can be seen at anchor, likely captured during a liberty port call by crew of the carrier USS Ticonderoga during Vietnam War operations. Hong Kong served as one of the most popular rest-and-recreation stops for American sailors deployed to the waters off Southeast Asia in the 1960s. Project: 218408
