This photograph shows the camp entrance of VMF-214, the U.S. Marine Corps fighter squadron famously known as the 'Black Sheep Squadron.' The unit crest and 'VMF 214' sign mark the entrance to the squadron's tent encampment at a forward Pacific airbase in 1945.
