This handwritten caption card, part of a World War II China-Burma-India Theater photo archive, was written to accompany a photograph of a Chinese laborer employed in Allied supply operations, such as construction of the Ledo and Burma Roads. Its language reflects the informal, and by today's standards insensitive, terminology commonly used by American servicemen of the period when describing local workers.
