Japanese 10 Sen Banknotes (Bank of Japan), WWII-Era Currency Souvenir
Four Japanese 10-sen banknotes issued by the Bank of Japan during World War II. Small-denomination paper notes like these replaced coinage as metal was diverted to the war effort. Notes such as these were frequently kept by American servicemen as souvenirs and mailed home, and are preserved here as part of the Moon/Sammiet family WWII letters collection. Project: 218346
