This wartime envelope, postmarked through the U.S. Army Postal Service in June of the mid-1940s, was sent by PFC Ross Moon of the 11th Airborne Division's Headquarters Squadron Troops (APO 468) to Marrianne Sammet in Richmond, California. Correspondence such as this, preserved within a family collection of wartime letters, illustrates the personal bonds American servicemen maintained with loved ones at home while serving across the Pacific Theater.
