This scrapbook page documents the devastation Jack T. Kelley witnessed during the 1945 liberation of the Philippines. Photographs captioned 'Manila 1945' show the ruined civic buildings left in the wake of the Battle of Manila, one of the most destructive urban battles of the Pacific War, while a photo captioned 'Clark Field 45' records wrecked aircraft at the former Japanese-occupied airbase north of the city.
